Bradford’s Hilton Hotel is urging people to step up and travel ‘around the world in a day’ on Saturday for its community foundation’s annual charity challenge.
Hotel staff will join colleagues from 120 hotels across 18 countries to ‘virtually travel’ 24,901.55 miles – the circumference of the Earth – to raise money for charities supporting ill and disadvantaged children.
The hotel in Bradford has chosen to donate all money raised to children’s charity Barnados, in particular to help fund counselling for abused children.
Akan Tahsin, hotel manager, said: “Our team is very excited to be working together to support Barnardos for ‘around the world in a day’. We welcome anyone who would like to come along and join us for a day of fun and exercise.”
