Police in Bradford will be carrying out an operation to prevent burglaries on streets in Great Horton and Little Horton.

Officers will go on patrol in Canterbury Avenue, Sage Street, Chiselhurt Place, Parkside Road and Southfield Road in Little Horton and Clayton Road, Necropolis Road, Hollingwood Lane, Great Horton Road and Moore Avenue in Great Horton to carry out a street audit.

They will be joined by Bradford Council wardens and a member of the Crime Reduction Department, with a representative from CASAC for the three-day blitz.

A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “This is to look at how and why crimes, particularly burglary of dwellings, have occurred in those areas. Once this audit is complete, the plan is to develop a long term goal of reducing offending in these areas.”
