Military history fans can get involved with this year’s Yorkshire Wartime Experience which features armoured vehicles during the first weekend in July. It promises the biggest number of wartime vehicles ever gathered in the North of England with 300 due to attend at the event in Hunsworth, near Cleckheaton, 34 of which will be tanks or armoured cars.
Ten schools will attend this year’s show free of charge on Friday, July 5, for an educational day. And the public are invited to roll up on Saturday, July 6, and Sunday, July 7, for the main event. Star of the show will be Field Marshall Montgomery’s wartime Rolls-Royce.
