Trading Standards is warning residents to beware doorstep fraudsters offering “Green Deals”.
The Green Deal is a Government scheme where you can make energy-saving improvements to your home or business without having to pay all the costs up front.
In other parts of the UK, fraudsters have been knocking on peoples doors claiming homeowners are entitled to £10,000 of funding.
They then ask for an “administration fee”.
The deal can only be delivered by government contracted providers with a unique number. For more information on the Deal you can call 0300 123 1234.
