Lady Mayoress Margaret Smith
Members of a village WI celebrated 50 years since their first meeting with an event attended by Bradford’s Lady Mayoress.
Over 60 members of the Wilsden WI and guests attended the event at Wilsden Village Hall.
The event was attended by the Lady Mayoress of Bradford, Margaret Smith, who cut the anniversary cake.
Wilsden WI was founded on February 11, 1963. Two of the original founder members who have consistently attended over the last 50 years, Joyce Rossington and Joy Chambers, were presented with bouquets.
The buffet was provided by Wilsden Bakery and the entertainment was provided by vocalist Julieanna.
