People interested in shaping healthcare in the future are being invited to stand for election as a governor at Airedale NHS Foundation Trust.
As part of the Council of Governors, the role is to reflect the interests of people living in their area and to oversee the foundation trust’s board of directors about future plans and priorities for Airedale Hospital. The Foundation Trust has 11 public seats available for election this time, including Bingley; Ilkley; Keighley; Wharfe Valley (Otley, Yeadon Guiseley and Rawdon); Skipton; Wharfedale and Worth Valley.
The Council of Governors make sure that the views of the community, staff and partners are heard when decisions are made. It is made up of staff governors, stakeholder governors from partner organisations and 20 elected members of the public.
