A grandad has raised £139 for a charity that helped save his grandson’s life – by asking people to wear yellow.
The Bradford community worker (pictured), who changed his name to Muppett, organised a city centre folk music night at The Castle pub last month in aid of the Children’s Liver Foundation’s Big Yellow Friday event.
Landlord Paul Chand put on some guest blonde beers in keeping with the yellow theme and a collection bucket on the bar coined in donations.
Muppet has already raised almost £3,000, split between the charity and Leeds General Infirmary where his grandson Amos Harker, who lives with his parents in Ilkley, is treated.
