Efforts to reduce dog fouling in Worth Valley have led to the realisation that some residents aren’t as “civic minded” as they should be.
Dealing with fouling is part of the council’s “ward plan” for the area, and has led to increased warden presence and a poster campaign.
A report into the council’s progress said: “A growing realisation that local people living in the neighbourhood are not as caring and civic minded as others has led to greater dialogue within communities to raise the issues.”
