A support and training group for families has marked World Down Syndrome Day by opening its new centre in Bingley.
The Down Syndrome Training & Support Service Ltd has moved to The Pamela Sunter Centre, 2 Whitley Street, and yesterday the Lord Mayor of Bradford, Councillor Dale Smith officially declared it open.
The group, part-funded by the Big Lottery Fund, encouraged its supporters to dress up for the day and help raise awareness and funds.
Since the charity started in 2000, membership has grown to more than 270 families and more than 190 professionals.
