The Bishop of Bradford will head a meeting called ‘Benefit Cuts and Changes: their effect upon People and Communities’ next month.

Three speakers will explain the new benefit cuts and changes, and explore their impact on people and how faith communities can help.

The Right Reverend Nick Baines (pictured) will chair, while Nick Hodgkinson, of the Bradford Training Partnership, Lisa Cumming, of Bradford University Peace Studies and Dave Dickens, a Director of ‘InCommunities’ will host the meeting, at the Thornbury Centre, Leeds Old Road, on April 11, 2pm-4pm.

Meanwhile, the Bradford Churches for Dialogue and Diversity Annual Lecture: Facing Facts, Fighting Fear: Evangelicals responding to Muslims, given by Richard McCallum from the Centre for Muslim-Christian Studies in Oxford, takes place on May 15 at 7pm. Both events are free but booking is essential.
