People are being invited to help raise money for good causes at the Lord Mayor of Bradford’s civic ball.

Councillor Dale Smith has broken with tradition and, rather than support just one charity through his Lord Mayor’s Appeal, has chosen to make smaller donations to lots of worthy causes across the Bradford district in what he had called ‘Sprinkling Sunshine’.

The Lord Mayor’s Sunshine Charity Ball will be held at the Hilton Hotel, Bradford, on Saturday, April 20, from 7pm. It will include a drinks reception, gala dinner, live cabaret and charity auction.

Tickets are £40 per person or £385 for a table of ten.

Any local charities booking tickets are being rewarded with much-needed funds.

For every table of ten a charity books, they will receive a minimum of £100 of Sunshine funding, and for every five tables of ten they book, they will be given a minimum of £1,000.

To book tickets for the civic ball, phone (01274) 434965 or e-mail lordmayorsappeal@bradford.gov.uk.
