A school which moved into a brand new building less than a year ago has been rated as good by inspectors.
Whitechapel C of E Primary in Cleckheaton was formed in September 2011, with the merging of Moorend and St Luke’s First Schools.
After a year operating from the two sites, it moved into a purpose-built school in Whitechapel Road in September. The results of its first Ofsted inspection have now been released. The school was given an overall rating of good, but inspectors said the pupils’ behaviour was outstanding.
Headteacher Michelle Bouabida said: “It reflects the hard work and commitment of everyone as we have come together as a new school in a short space of time.”
