Silsden councillors have postponed a meeting to thrash out their response to the £300,000 refurbishment plans for the town hall.

Town councillors met to discuss proposals, revealed by Bradford Council, for the building’s future.

They decided a second meeting was needed, to be held after next Wednesday’s public consultation on the plans.

Councillors have already expressed concerns but believe they need to know more.

They also want to hear the views of the public following the consultation, particularly existing groups that use the town hall.

Bradford Council plans to improve disabled access and create a more flexible space.

Bradford Council officers will unveil the refurbishment plans on Wednesday from 3pm to 7pm in the town hall and library, and answer questions.
