A trade union representative who received an OBE from the Queen has died at his Bradford home, aged 63.
John Stephen Beanland (right), of Wyke, was named in the Queen's birthday honours list in 2007 for his work in trade union matters with the health service.
He was senior executive officer and chairman of the trade unions at the Department of Health.
A funeral will be held at Park Wood Crematorium in Elland at 1.30pm on Friday.
His family have requested family flowers only, but have asked that donations in his memory can be made to Bradford Burns Unit and the oncology department at St James’s Hospital in Leeds.
