A support and training group for families is marking World Down Syndrome Day on Thursday by opening its new centre in Bingley.
Down Syndrome Training & Support Service Ltd is having the open day at The Pamela Sunter Centre, 2 Whitley Street, between 1pm and 3pm and in the evening between 7pm and 9pm.
The group, part-funded by the Big Lottery Fund, is also encouraging its supporters to dress up for the day and raise awareness and funds.
Since the charity started in 2000, membership has grown to more than 270 familie and more than 190 professionals, mainly from education and health.
