A Bradford primary school has been given an award for including families in school life.
Parkland Primary in Thorpe Edge was given the Engaging Families Award in recognition of the commitment that staff and families have shown in working together to support the education, development and wellbeing of the pupils at the school.
The Lord Mayor of Bradford, Councillor Dale Smith, has visited the school to present it with the award.
He spoke about the importance of links between families and schools.
The assembly also celebrated a family portraits project in which pupils, staff and their families had created works of art and displayed them in school.
This project stemmed from work which some families did with an artist in residence last year.
