Bradford Council has lost an appeal against its decision to refuse plans for a barn conversion in Menston.
Planning inspector Michael Moffoot said the Council had not done enough to back up last year’s decision on an application to turn a barn at Derry Hill Farm into a four-bedroom house with a double garage. Applicant Alex Smith appealed, and the planning inspector has now ruled against the Council.
Mr Moffoot said: “The Council argues that the development would conflict with the purposes of the green belt, but doesn’t explain how.”
