Residents passionate about their neighbourhood can learn more about how to protect their ‘communtiy assets’ on Monday.
Running from 10am until 12.30pm, the event will be held at Pakistan Community Centre, in Jervaulx Crescent, White Abbey, Bradford.
It is open to those who want to protect their neighbourhood’s post office, community shops or local pub from being closed, sold or turned into something else, or those concerned about the loss of services in their area.
Delivered by Neighbourhood Ventures, the free training explores the powers and rights grassroots communities now have to register land and property as “community assets” in order to better protect it and to give time for a “community buyout”.
The organisers will look at what people can do under the Localism Act.
