A Bradford primary school given a good report by schools watchdog Ofsted has now been told it is providing its pupils with an outstanding Catholic education.
St Francis Catholic Primary School in Myers Lane, Eccleshill, was given full marks by the Diocese of Leeds Diocesan Board for Inspections.
Headteacher Daniel Copley said: “We are planning a celebration day in May which will involve the whole school – but we are not giving details as we want it to be a surprise for the children. This is a whole school achievement with everyone working very hard."
Councillor Ralph Berry, who is executive member for children’s services, said: “These reports show that real progress has been made at St Francis Catholic Primary and the whole school deserves to be congratulated for the way it is improving outcomes for children.”
