The owners of a Bradford pub caught without a television licence have been ordered to pay £695 by magistrates.
UK Pubs Limited, which operates the Roebuck in Harrogate Road, Greengates, was fined £500 for using a TV without a licence on the business premises.
The company was also ordered to pay £180 costs and a £15 victim surcharge at the hearing on March 6 at Kirklees Magistrates’ Court.
Any business that shows television programmes as they’re being shown on TV, whether for customers’ use or in staff areas must be covered by a valid licence.
