A father has told of his relief that his missing teenage daughter has been found after almost five days.
Phil Metcalfe, of Holme Wood, Bradford, had pleaded for information about 14-year-old Chloe’s whereabouts after she went missing on Tuesday.
Mr Metcalfe received a call from police shortly after 4pm today informing him that Chloe had been found.
Speaking to the Telegraph & Argus only minutes afterwards he said: “I’ve never been so happy.”
West Yorkshire Police had issued an appeal for information about the teen’s whereabouts on Thursday, and in a story in today’s T&A her father said it was “killing him” not knowing where Chloe, a pupil at Tong High School, was.
He said that after seeing the article one of her friend’s boyfriend spotted her and contacted the police.
Mr Metcalfe added: “I’m just buzzing. The story really did its job.”
