Education and awareness about Vitamin D is being promoted through a series of community events in Bradford next week.
Often referred to as the ‘sunshine vitamin’ because most of the vitamin D needed is from sunlight, vitamin D is important to maintain healthy and strong bones.
During Vitamin D awareness week, the NHS and its partners are holding events in communities that are particularly at risk.
The next sessions are at the Live at Home coffee morning in the Salvation Army Hall, Holroyd Hill, Wibsey, from 9am to 11am on Monday; Lower Grange Community centre, Chaffinch Road, Lower Grange, Bradford, from 12.30pm to 2.30pm on Wednesday and from 11am until 2pm at the Bangladeshi Community Centre, Cornwall Place, Manningham, next Thursday.
