Unemployment in Bradford is still on the rise, despite a drop nationally.
In January, there were 20,001 people claiming Jobseeker’s Allowance across the district, a rise of 2.6 per cent from last year.
According to Government figures released today, the national unemployment rate fell by 0.6 per cent in the year.
Unemployment is also down across Yorkshire and the Humber, with 18,000 fewer people out of work compared to a year ago.
