Youngsters at a Liversedge school now have a new place to play thanks to a donation from the Yorkshire Building Society Charitable Foundation.
Littletown Junior and Infant and Nursery School in Bradford Road received £1,000 from the fund to help buy outdoor play equipment which has been designed to help children with special educational needs develop their movement and co-ordination skills.
Kate Bonnett, branch manager at the society’s Cleckheaton branch, said: “The Yorkshire’s Charitable Foundation is dedicated to supporting good causes where its staff and members live and work. Helping towards the cost of new equipment for the playground will have a great impact on our community and we’re delighted with the results.
“Not only will the children have somewhere different to play, the special design will provide an added educational benefit.”
