Qasim Ahmed allowed his friend Tariq Khan to drive on December 12 last year, because he had a headache and there was a pregnant woman in the car, he told magistrates.
But his 23-year-old friend of Westfield Road, Bradford, was not insured and neither did he have a full licence.
Ahmed, 28, of Cherry Fields, Bolton Woods, Bradford, who pleaded guity to using a car without insurance in Gargrave, near Skipton, and Khan who admitted driving without insurance and not in accordance with a licence, were each fined £110, ordered top pay £45 court costs and a £20 victim surcharge
