The Fall have been announced as one of the headliners of this year’s Long Division Festival.
The band will join acts such as Ghostpoet, Nine Black Alps, Howard Marks, RM Hubbert and Ed Tudor Pole at the festival, in Wakefield, on June 8.
Having performed for more than 35 years and released 29 studio albums, The Fall will be showcasing their 30th album.
Organiser Dean Freeman said: “We have wanted to book The Fall since our first year and to finally have them coming to Wakefield is a dream come true. They are the perfect headliners for a festival run by a fanzine; contrary, awkward, endlessly creative and never bowing to commerciality. “
The festival, now in its third year, is organised by fanzine Rhubarb Bomb and will host more than 70 bands at venues across the city, including The Hop, co-owned by Mike Heaton of Bradford band Embrace.
