Actress Dani Harmer – who shot to fame in hit children’s TV show Tracy Beaker and reached the final of last year’s Strictly Come Dancing – is playing Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz, coming to Bradford this spring.

She will be joined on the Yellow Brick Road by Bobby Davro as Scarecrow and CBeebies’ Sarah-Jane Honeywell as Glinda.

Producer Weatherall says: “We’re really looking forward to coming to Bradford during the Easter holidays with this fantastic show. It’s got a great cast of TV stars and an amazing live band. We know how popular our Christmas pantomimes are across the UK and we’re now hoping to give audiences another quality family event.”

Director Guy Pascall adds: “It’s going to be great fun for all the family. Everyone remembers such great characters as the the Cowardly Lion and the Tin Man. This show will take the original book written by L Frank Baum and give it a new twist.”

The Wizard of Oz is at St George’s Hall on April 12 and 13. For tickets, ring (01274) 432000.
