A furniture retailer is to move from inside a Keighley department store to the town’s former MFI showroom near Victoria Park.

AHF will make a six-figure investment in the new store on the Alston Retail Park and increase its staff from six to eight.

The 13,000 sq ft store, due to open on February 28, will become the first national clearance superstore run by AHF.

The company is part of the national Co-Operative family and is one of the UK’s largest independent furniture retailers.

AHF has for 23 years had the furniture concession in Keighley's Beales store – the former Co-Operative-owned Sunwin House and Home, on Hanover Street. The AHF concession in Beales closes on Saturday.

AHF store manager Denise Oxley said the new store would provide shoppers with extended seven-days-a-week opening hours and free parking.
