Police plan to re-educate parents about parking cars around schools in Ilkley.
Inspector Sue Sanderson, of Wharfedale and Craven Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT), says police are to organise patrols in the coming weeks looking at problem parking around schools in the town.
The issue of parking around schools, as well as general parking problems and speeding, was raised at a public Pact (Police and Community Together) meeting.
Insp Sanderson said: “We are paying paticular attention to this area over the coming few weeks and there will be some patrols around these issues, trying to re-educate some of the parents about parking more appropriately.”
She said other events are planned in the Ilkley area shortly, including action against dog fouling.
