A 28-year-old man has been jailed for four years for a vehicle crime spree.
Ryan John-Lewis, pictured, leapt into two cars and drove off in them after their owners left them for seconds with the keys in the ignition, Bradford Crown Court heard yesterday.
John-Lewis, of Reevy Avenue, Buttershaw, Bradford, was sentenced for ten offences, including theft of fuel from petrol stations, taking and driving away a BMW X3 and a Seat Leon, driving while disqualified, handling stolen vehicle registration plates and production of cannabis.
He had 26 previous convictions for offences including house burglary, aggravated vehicle taking and possession of a knuckle duster.
The court heard John-Lewis, the father of two young children, was persistently granted bail and persistently committed offences, between October 2011 and August last year.
