Hundreds of specially-made kites will fly above Otley this spring to raise awareness of global food injustice.
About 250 children from the Otley, Pool-in-Wharfedale and Bramhope family of schools will take part in the event at Wharfemeadows Park on Friday, March 22.
Pupils at each of the schools will be working with Oxfam on designing the kites, as they learn more about the charity’s campaign to end hunger and global citizenship.
The kites will be unveiled and flown, wind pending, at about 1.30pm on the day.
