Nurse Steph Lawrence has received parliamentary backing in her bid to win a national award.
She has the support of Keighley MP Kris Hopkins, who is urging people to vote for her. Steph, collaborative care team leader at Airedale NHS Foundation Trust, is shortlisted for the Claire Rayner Patient's Choice Award, organised by industry journal the Nursing Standard. She was nominated by Julia Smith, of Oakworth, for the care given to her mother following a stroke.
Mr Hopkins said: “Being nominated is a magnificent achievement in itself but, in my view, she deserves to win. To this end, I would urge everyone who can to log onto nurseawards.
