Firefighters free injured woman from overturned car after crash in Bradford

A woman was taken to hospital with facial injuries after the car she was in flipped on to its roof in Wakefield Road, Bradford, early today.

Firefighters were called shortly before 2am to the overturned BMW with the woman trapped in the back seat at the junction with New Hey Road.

The woman was freed and a man at the scene was arrested on suspicion of drink driving.

A police spokesman said the man was also being questioned about the possibility of the car, the only vehicle involved, being stolen.
