Driver arrested

Police arrested a man in Heckmondwike on suspicion of dangerous driving following a pursuit which took place when a car failed to stop for officers in Dewsbury town centre on Tuesday. Police units, including the Force helicopter, pursued the vehicle into Heckmondwike, where it was abandoned a few minutes later. Officers pursued the occupants of the car on foot and a man was arrested shortly afterwards. No-one was injured in the incident.
