A hospital department supporting women in Bradford and Airedale has been nominated for a national award.
The gynaecology assessment and treatment unit at Airedale Hospital has been nominated for a Lean Healthcare Award in the sustained improvement category.
The nomination acknowledges staff’s work to establish a dedicated area where women can be cared for by specialist staff and have quicker access to scans.
Sue Speak (pictured), head of service improvement at Airedale NHS Foundation Trust said: “This is a real moral boost for the staff. It’s great that their determination to improve the experience for women has been recognised by the judging panel.”
