A Bradford solicitor is warning people to watch out for an investment scam after a woman was conned out of her £45,000 inheritance.
The Bradford woman, who wants to remain anonymous, fell for an internet advert, advising for people to invest in “rare earth metals.”
The Financial Services Authority has issued a warning, with an increasing number of people being approached by firms promoting investments in rare earth metals and related schemes.
Martin Cronshaw, of Wilsons Solicitors, in Wibsey, said: “The FSA warning may have come a little too late to prevent my client investing but I will be doing all I can to help her reclaim her money, although it may prove to be very difficult. If there are any readers who feel they may also be a victim of this scam, I would ask them to get in touch with me to help me build a stronger case.”
