After their incredible win over Arsenal, Bradford City are the undisputed penalty shootout kings – and now they want to share their supreme skills with pop star Diana Ross.

The Bantams have enjoyed a remarkable nine penalty shootout wins in a row, the highlight being the moment they knocked the Gunners out of the Capital One Cup on Tuesday.

Now the club and the Capital One Cup organisers have written to the star singer, who famously missed a penalty from about five yards (above) in the opening ceremony for the 1994 World Cup finals in Chicago.

In a joint letter to Ross’s agent, they said many people in the UK had fond memories of watching the singer taking the penalty kick.

But it went on: “Sadly at that event Diana bowed to the pressure and missed with her kick.

“Capital One, in association with Bradford City, would like to invite Diana to England to train with the Bradford City squad. We would like to improve Diana’s record by sharing some of the squad’s techniques and hopefully help Diana learn how to take penalty kicks with the proper skill set.”
