A Bradford bus driver who has rung the final bell on his career was welcomed into retirement by an Indian tradition.
Dadar Singh Sangha has retired after 36 years with First Bus. To mark his last day, 16 members of the 60-year-old’s family – two of them playing drums – collected him from the company headquarters on Bowling Back Lane in Bradford.
His brother Raghbir Singh Sangha said: “It was my daughter-in-law’s idea. It’s an Indian tradition so that’s what we decided to do – although he came back in a car!”
