A Bradford church branched out into its community by holding a Christmas Tree festival.
St Christopher’s Church in Holme Wood opened its doors twice daily to allow people to see the 20 festive trees decorated by different organisations from across the estate including schools, the library, the elderly day centre, African, Polish and Lithuanian groups, a Good Neighbours scheme and youth club – to name but a few.
The Reverend Steve Davie said: “Holme Wood has such a diverse community that we wanted to celebrate it by getting people to share how they enjoy Christmas – it was quite a sight to see.”
The festival ended on Saturday with the trees returned to the groups which decorated them so they will be enjoyed even longer, said Mr Davie.
