Sixteen laptop computers have been stolen from a Keighley school.
Burglars broke into Nessfield Primary and smashed open an IT suite door and forced entry to a laptop trolley and cupboard to take the computers.
The school caretaker was alerted shortly after midnight when the alarm sounded, and police were quickly at the scene.
Headteacher Sean Smith said the incident had left pupils upset.
“The children used the laptops in lessons and it was very upsetting for them that someone had broken in and stolen them,” he said.
“There was a lot of disruption and inconvenience. Teachers had to modify lessons, one class had to be relocated and the IT suite was out of use. And, of course, the damage had to be repaired.”
The incident happened in the early hours of November 27.
