Running shoes worn by six-time Olympic gold medal winner Usain Bolt have still not sold despite going to auction in London.

Bradford licensee Audrey Coyne won the Jamaican’s running shoes in a raffle at a ball marking Jamaica’s 50 years of independence after writing her name on four £10 notes and entering them into the lucky draw in July.

She wanted to make a “sizeable” donation to the Jamaican Society if she got more than £3,000 and had registered the boots with Special Auction Services, based in London, who were going to auction them between November 20 and 21.

But the boots failed to sell and she is now keeping them as an investment.

Miss Coyne runs the Boy and Barrel in Westgate and appeared in Channel 4’s recent controversial Make Bradford British show.
