Silsden Town Council is cracking down on the misuse of public land by residents of Airedale Mews.
It wants to stop people parking cars and caravans on the three small parcels of land, or using it to store wheelie bins.
Residents will be asked whether they want more benches for the grass and paved areas which lie between houses.
The town council has decided to write to all residents of Airedale Mews.
Chairman Chris Atkinson said: “We will tell them that this land is public open space that cannot be sold and can’t be parked on. It’s for the enjoyment of everybody.
“By all accounts there are benches already there.”
Airedale Mews was built on the site of the former Airedale Shed, a mills complex that burned down in 1907.
The town council is the trustee for public patches of land at the Mews.
