A Bradford optician will travel to Kenya to deliver a sack full of glasses as an early Christmas present to children and adults.
Luke Baker, who works at City Eyewear, will drop off new and used glasses and sunglasses donated by Bradford residents when he visits the country on November 20.
He said: “Most of the people we treat will have never had glasses, so being able to provide them so they can see clearly again for the first time in a while, is really moving, memorable and the reason why Africa Connection continue to go back.
“I am encouraging people to donate all those old pairs of glasses – I can guarantee it really does make a massive difference.”
To donate a pair of glasses wrap them and post them in a jiffy envelope to Africa Connection, City Eyewear, 24 Ivegate, Bradford, BD1 1SW.
