Voting will take place on Thursday, November 15, to elect members of Rawdon’s new parish council.
Four members have already been elected in two wards which were uncontested. Cragg Wood will be represented by Neil Hunt and Layton by Dawn Collins, Jonathan Lacey and Michael Warrior.
Nine people are contesting three seats in the Larkfield Ward – Conservatives Robert Barber, Bob Buxton and John Davies; Labour’s Jennifer Simms, Melanie Wilkinson and Robert Wilkinson; Independents Phil Gomersall and Clive Woods; and Honest, Forward Thinking, Dedicat-ed and Community Minded Matthew Birkenshaw.
Four people are standing for two seats in the Greenacre Ward. They are Conservative Jacqueline Shemilt, Labour candidate John Sullivan and Independents David Ingham and Peter Middleton.
