A Bradford gadget man will revel in Bond fever this week as he unveils his own exhibition.

As the latest instalment of James Bond adventures Skyfall goes on general release on Friday, Nadim Batt, 43, of Undercliffe, will put his collection of 007 memorabilia on show at the Odeon Cinema in Thornbury throughout the weekend to raise cash for charity.

Items include a mirror camera, bug sweeping equipment and a 007 gun holster.

And among his own inventions that he will put on show is a phone shield which he believes could reduce the effects of radiation given off by mobile phones. The shield is a small quartz crystal which attaches to the back of any mobile phone.

Another gadget he will showcase is a child locator called Mummy I’m Here. The teddy bear has an alarm inside which a parent can press if their child is holding it and is out of sight.

Mr Batt said: “My father was my inspiration I am a philanthropist and charity worker, my father Mohammed Bashir, was a gadget man, he was also an electrical engineer. He even spoke three languages.

“I hope people will come and have a look at the gadgets and Bond items before watching the film and join us to celebrate 50 years of successful Bond films, it will be really good fun.”

Mr Batt was featured in The Telegraph & Argus in 2003 when his selection of state-of-the-art spying equipment went on sale in Bradford stores.

His exhibition is raising money for children’s charity the NSPCC.

Mr Batt is also appealing for an owner of an Aston Martin DBS to contact him if they would like their car to form part of his exhibition which will be on show until Sunday.
