AN acclaimed stage adaptation of Dickens classic A Tale of Two Cities has Bradford actors in the cast for its Alhambra run this week.

The production, by the Touring Consortium Theatre Company and Royal and Derngate Northampton, is in Bradford as part of a national tour.

In each city on the tour, the production team works with a cast of local people, known as 'the Twelves'. They join the professional cast on stage as citizens of the Dickensian world, either as "unruly mobs or jury members". They are called the Twelves, because 12 is the size of a jury.

The Bradford cast are: Fiona Broadfoot, Jayne Whitehead, Michelle Smith, Ali Yunis, John Rees, Jonathan James Green, Sophia Leanne Kelly and Danni Shepherd. A Tale of Two Cities runs at the Alhambra until Saturday.
