PASSION, romance and sensational sexy dancing is heating up Bradford this summer in hit show Dirty Dancing.

The musical, which has rolled into The Alhambra for a three-week run, is based on the 1987 movie starring Patrick Swayze as a charismatic dance teacher who changes the life of a shy young woman when he teaches her to dance.

It's the summer of 1963 and Frances 'Baby' Houseman is on vacation with her family at a resort where Johnny Castle heads up the entertainment troupe. Baby's future is mapped out - college, a spell in the Peace Corps, and marriage to a doctor, like her father.

But when she meets Johnny and secretly observes him and the other dancers at an after-hours party, she becomes intrigued by their "dirty dancing" and

Johnny agrees to teach her to dance, leading to a sizzling summer love story.

The lively score includes Hungry Eyes, Do You Love Me? and (I've Had) The Time Of My Life.

Dirty Dancing runs at The Alhambra until July 25.
