LAURA Ashleigh has been singing for as long as she can remember, and now her talents have led to her winning this year’s Bradfactor contest.
The 16-year-old sings with her uncle’s tribute band, Phil Haley and His Comets, and reached the second round of auditions for this year’s series of Britain’s Got Talent.
She beat other Bradford acts, including singers, rappers and groups, to win Bradfactor and was crowned the winner at the final, held at St George’s Hall.
“I couldn’t believe it when they called my name out,” said Laura, a performing arts student at Bradford College. “Since winning Bradfactor I’ve been invited to sing at a few gigs, it has really helped to get me known, and it’s given me a lot of confidence. I’d definitely like to try for X Factor next year.”
