GARETH Gates is to perform at Odsal tomorrow at Bradford Bulls’ final home game of the season against Widnes.

The boyhood Bulls fan is heading the pre-match entertainment from 2pm as he performs alongside his very own Academy.

Gareth (pictured) shot to fame in 2002 after finishing as a runner-up to Will Young in the hit TV show, Pop Idol.

He has since enjoyed success in the music and theatre industries, performing in various West End Shows, including 'Joseph And The Technicolour Dreamcoat'.

In 2011, he opened his Academy, teaching children aged between five and sixteen the three essential disciplines of performing arts; singing, dancing and acting.

The Gates Academy of Performing Arts welcomes any child to its base at Bradford's Dixons City Academy to join them every Monday, from 5pm-8pm.

“I am thrilled to be back at the Provident Stadium, a place where I spent a lot of time as a youngster, watching the mighty Bulls,” said Gareth.

“I am even more excited to be returning with my performing arts academy and be performing a few songs together this afternoon.

“I love that I can now give these budding stars the opportunity to perform to a such an amazing crowd."

Wakefield's Apollo’s Circus will precede him on the hallowed turf, performing a host of songs from their debut album.

The melodic, five-strong rock band were finalists in last year's 'Bull Factor'.
