The boss of a Bradford cheerleading school has spoken of her dream of landing a role in Yorkshire drama Emmerdale after she was watched by millions of viewers on a prime time television show at the weekend.

Robyn Morrison appeared on Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway show on ITV, playing a prank on top boy band One Direction.

Robyn, who recently came second in the world finals of an international beauty pageant, had a key part to play in a successful stunt, tricking the chart toppers into thinking they were being interviewed as part of a live chat with Wake Up New Zealand presenters – who, in reality, were Robyn and Ant in disguise.

As part of the prank Dec, also in disguise as a One Direction fan overwhelmed at meeting his idols, pretends to have an asthma attack, causing singer Harry Styles and the rest of the band to get so worried they called emergency services.

Ant also pretended to “accidentally” leave his mic on and talk turns to which of the singers is the sexiest, causing the lads to squirm with embarrassment.

Australian-born Robyn, from Birkenshaw, who starred in Aussie soap drama Neighbours, said: “Ant and Dec were so much fun to work with. They were so professional, but at the same time had loads of laughs filming.”

As for One Direction, she said: “They are a great bunch of young lads who were up for a laugh. They took the prank with great humour and were laughing at how much they fell for it.”

As well as running Panache Cheerleading School in Bradford, Robyn has just been crowned Europe's Perfect Woman and is off to the USA in August to compete for the title of World’s Perfect Woman. Speaking after her high-profile appearance on TV on Saturday, she said her dream job is to get a permanent role as a character in Yorkshire drama Emmerdale.
